National Leader Cam's Kids Foundation

Overview:

The foundation is looking for a passionate, hard-working, young leader to coordinate, manage and market the activities of the foundation to achieve its’ mandate, “Supporting Youth Struggling with Anxiety”. These activities are focused on engaging youth through initiatives that build awareness of the foundation and drive traffic to the website. The website offers resources for youth to learn more about what anxiety is, how to manage and/or overcome it, and provide encouragement through the sharing of personal stories from peers, who have experienced anxiety themselves.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Marketing the foundation in communities across Canada with an immediate focus on Ontario, including schools, colleges and universities
  • Monitoring and updating social media and the website based on activities and created content
  • Continuous researching of websites/social media and other mediums to identify relevant knowledge and insights to share on the Cam’s Kids website
  • Building our database of e-Newsletter subscribers and managing the timeline and content of our writers
  • Maintaining website and ensuring all content is kept current
  • Organizing and managing events in schools and communities
  • Recruiting youth to become ambassadors and ensuring on-boarding and engagement with our ambassador team
  • Weekly and monthly activity reporting, including updates on our ambassador program
  • Expertise with social media implementation and management
  • Supporting the planning and coordination of fundraising events

  • Computer and social media proficiency
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to make decisions and be self-directed
  • Excellent organizational skills and self-motivated, with a desire for helping others, with a particular passion for supporting youth
  • A team player who values an environment of open communication and collaboration
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written
  • Strong team player with ability to empower others to support an idea
  • Flexible schedule that allows for after-hours events and meetings
  • Compassionate and sensitive to the needs and requirements of all stakeholders
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and professional presence necessary to interact with Cam’s Kids event participants, donors, volunteers, ambassadors and youth audience
  • Comfortable with public speaking

Terms:

Full-time, contract

Location:

Greater Toronto Area

Compensation:

$40,000 - $50,000 annual

Board of Directors
