Cam's Kids is super stoked to be participating in Sir Sandford Fleming College's Ecosystem Health Conference: Healthy Planet, Healthy Minds. The conference will explore our shared connections with the natural world, and in particular the restorative powers of nature to improve our mental health and well-being. We will share knowledge, research and ideas to enhance mental health and wellness in our homes, schools and communities.
This year the feature keynote speaker is Mark Henick, a mental health advocate and Program Manager for Mental Health Works, a social enterprise of the Canadian Mental Health Association (view his 2013 TEDxToronto speech here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1QoyTmeAYw).
The conference, which will take place at Fleming College’s Frost Campus in Lindsay, Ontario on March 25, 2017, also includes a day of workshops, campus tours, exhibits and vendors, and concludes with a dinner, silent auction, panel discussion and reception.
