Mackenzie's Guide to Wellness & Meditation
I am very passionate about making my struggles have purpose and have a strong passion to share these tools with others in hopes that they will help them as they have me.

This is Mackenzie's Story

Wellness has been an ongoing interest of mine since childhood when I spent a lot of time outdoors, gardening, hiking and playing sports. I was first introduced to yoga in a dance class when I was 8 years old and it really appealed to me how what seemed then to be simple postures were able to heal and nurture the body.

As my interests gravitated towards competitive sports, yoga became my go to remedy for the injuries and discomforts caused by the wear and tear on the body the more aggressive pastime had. In the off season, I found that I experienced some increased symptoms of anxiety and depression due to lack of exercise and my wellness journey lead me to meditation. These two tools have been staples since this time although I have continued to pursue mindfulness and meditative practices throughout my adult life and the list of tools has continued to grow.

I am very passionate about making my struggles have purpose and have a strong passion to share these tools with others in hopes that they will help them as they have me. I am especially passionate about working with kids and teens, the female population as well as those suffering with trauma, PTSD, and other mental health challenges. I am driven to supporting you all in your own wellness journeys. And also to share the message that you are not alone in this and that there are ways to manage and advance beyond symptoms. There is light through and on the other side of darkness.

****Mackenzie has shared breathing techniques and yoga poses that helped her cope with her anxiety and depression. The two main techniques she focuses on are Pranayama and Asana. To find these techniques go to the tips and tools section on our website:

Please remember that everybody is different and every body is different. You may find that some of these techniques work for you and others not so much. Keep trying new things and I promise you will find what is in line with your needs. If you find that you have further interest please feel free to contact me at [email protected]. I welcome any feedback and questions and can provide you with greater resources if you choose.

Much love and light,

Mackenzie
