Cam’s Kids is thrilled to announce that we are collaborating with Bridging Borders, a not-for-profit organization that “draws on an intersectional and humanistic approach to develop and implement sustainable programs and services that span socioeconomic, cultural, health and wellness, and educational borders within local and global communities.”
This is an exciting opportunity both for Cam’s Kids and Bridging Borders to work together to reach out, and connect with a larger demographic that may need support during this time. This collaborative initiative is called Bridge The Distance. Through this platform, we’re looking to fill the physical gap created by COVID-19 and send a smile to someone who may need it. Through this platform, individuals from across the country may nominate a friend or family member to receive a special video, that's specifically curated just for them. Videos submitted will be stitched together by Bridging Borders, and sent to the nominee. Examples of nominees include someone who:
Our organizations want to give everyone the opportunity to celebrate. We might be physically apart right now, but that does not mean that we have to feel disconnected. Anyone, no matter their age, can be nominated.
Cam’s Kids Ambassadors will be supporting this initiative sending positive messages to nominees. It’s not just our Ambassadors who can submit a video however, ALL are encouraged to join and volunteer. If someone you know is deserving of a special video, or you wish to volunteer in this special initiative, you may do so here.
We are looking forward to this collaboration and to support more young people across Canada with their mental health! Because together, we can Bridge the Distance.
