On Sunday May 31st 2020, the Durham Region Annual Walk and Talk for Mental Health is returning to Uxbridge's Countryside Preserve. This event is in support of the Defeat Depression campaign, a national fundraising campaign which raises funds in support of local mental health programs and services. Best of all, it encourages healthy and open dialogue towards mental health struggles, while enjoying the benefits of being outside.
This year's walk raises funds and awareness for Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences - PROMPT Care Clinic. "As part of a range of specialized outpatient services offered at Ontario Shores, the Prompt Care Clinic provides care for individuals who require timely access to psychiatric services, but do not require an emergency visit. This clinic sees more than 1,300 patient visits per year, and the funds donated to Ontario Shores from today’s event will impact the exceptional care and service patients who access the Prompt Care Clinic receive on a daily basis."
Cam's Kids will once again be participating in this event and we hope you will join us too! To join us or to donate, please visit the Defeat Depression Website.
