October may just be the spookiest month of the year. There's Halloween of course, but for post-secondary students, October also means midterms have arrived! With midterms comes increased levels of stress and anxiety - which may be further heightened this year as a result of distant learning. Which is why Cam's Kids Ambassadors took it upon themselves to host a series of stress-relieving virtual events and activities, throughout the month of October.
To kick-off the month, uOttawa Ambassadors hosted a relaxing virtual yoga class. Next up, were two different styles of Paint Nights. The first - hosted by Nipissing Ambassadors - guided "attendees" through a detailed painting class. The second - hosted by Laurentian Ambassadors - was tailored towards those looking for a quick, 20-minute study break, guiding them through how to paint the halloween-inspired image below.
As the month went on, and the number of days until the 31st dwindled, the Halloween-themed activities ramped up. Guelph Ambassadors provided Cam's Kids Instagram followers a step-by-step tutorial on how to make Halloween-inspired mason jars decorations (as seen below).
Laurentian Ambassadors encouraged our followers to share any of their favourite Halloween memories, costumes or decorations. Finally, finishing off the Halloween Extravaganza was a Pumpkin Carving Contest - hosted by our McMaster Ambassadors. To encourage some healthy competition, top three pumpkin carvings (as chosen by Cam's Kids Instagram followers) would go on to win a Cam's Kids toque! Checkout some of the incredible entries below.
We are so thankful for our Cam's Kids Ambassadors for going above and beyond to support their fellow peers! To all still writing midterms - we wish you the best of luck! You got this!
