No matter your age, race, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation or gender - every single person has mental health. More importantly - every single person deserves to have access to the resources and support they need to care for their mental health.
Unfortunately, this is still not a reality here in Canada. Those who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Colour) in particular, face numerous barriers when it comes to their mental health. This includes lack of resources, representation, or even access to mental health services. This is not to say that resources do not exist. There are some incredibly positive, inclusive and oftentimes even low-cost or free resources out there - they simply do not get the promotion they deserve. We want to help change that, by amplifying these voice so all - whether you identify as BIPOC or an ally - can learn from them. For more resources beyond social media accounts, please visit our Anxiety Resources page, and scroll down to the "Mental Health Resource Suggestions" tab.
*Please note we will be continually populating this list, so we encourage you to check back periodically to see what we have added. If you have a resource suggestion not yet listed, send us an email ([email protected]) or a DM on Instagram (@camskids_8).*
