The holiday season is finally upon us! With all of the joy, happiness, and excitement that December brings, there can be a lot of stress too. Busy stores during holiday shopping, socializing at parties, and wondering what gifts to buy your loved ones can all contribute to holiday stress and worry. 

Although December is the time of giving to others, it is also important to remember to give back to yourself! Here are some easy ways to show yourself gratitude and kindness during a hectic holiday season. 

  1. Have a holiday party of one! Enjoy some hot cocoa, make some cookies, watch your favourite holiday movie, and practice self-care in whatever way you enjoy best.
  2. Finish your holiday shopping online to avoid the in-store craze.   3. Try doing some holiday crafts, like homemade cards or ornaments. Art is a wonderful outlet to relieve anxiety and stress, and you might even be able to share some handmade gifts at the end!
