In the world of seasonal drinks, fall means only one thing - pumpkin spice lattes! However, many of the pumpkin spice lattes on the market are filled with sugar and caffeine, a mix that is not so great for maintaining good mental health.
If you want to get your pumpkin spice fix but limit the sugar and caffeine, try our anxiety-friendly Cam’s Kid’s pumpkin spice latte recipe below!
Ingredients
½ cup brewed decaf coffee (or, try another caffeine-free substitute)
1 cup milk of choice
1 ½ - 2 tbsp pumpkin puree
2 tbsp pure maple syrup or 4-5 drops liquid stevia (adjust to taste)
¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice
½ tsp vanilla extract
Whipped cream (optional)
Steps
Step 1. Measure out all of your ingredients (this recipe makes two ½ cup servings).
Step 2. Warm all of the ingredients in a pot on medium heat. Mix until well combined.
Step 3. Pour into a cup, top with whipped cream and some extra pumpkin spice, and enjoy!
→ Tip: You can also pour it over ice to make an iced PSL!
