Self-care is a critical component to increasing our mental (and physical) well being. It also happens to be something that is commonly overlooked or undervalued. Too often people say they “don’t have the time” for self-care, which is why we suggest that you have to make time by putting it on your to-do list, right next to studying or homework. Quite literally – write it down!

Here’s a list of our favourite self-care activities...

Physical Activities:

  • Go for a walk and pick some wild flowers
  • Epsom salt bath – maybe throw in some of your favourite essential oils or even some calming music

  • Do a workout

Psychological Activities:

  • Go to your favourite coffee shop and sip on your favourite tea
  • Do a social media purge (ie. edit who you follow – if they don’t bring you joy, remove them)

Professional Activities

  • Set clear professional boundaries
  • Take your vacation time
  • Leave work at work (i.e. don’t take work stress home with you)
