Hank is the pharmacist and owner of Trail Capital IDA Pharmacy Uxbridge. He is on a mission to change the perspective of how the community sees pharmacists. He always asks himself (and others), "patients see pharmacists more often than their family physicians, and everybody says they have a family doctor, but why doesn't anybody say they have a family pharmacist?" Mental health, wellness and awareness are his main areas of interest.
Being a pharmacist puts Hank in a unique position. Nobody needs to make an appointment to see him, and he has created his pharmacy as a safe space where anybody can come over and chat with him. He always has time for you. He believes medication has a role in a person's well-being in appropriate situations, but the collaborative approach to lifestyle changes is equally as important. He also understands the importance of having open discussions with caregivers or loved ones of the patient too.
To learn more about Hank, please visit https://trailcapitalida.ca, or you can follow him on social media on Facebook at Trail Capital IDA Pharmacy or on Instagram @trailcapitalida and Twitter @trailcapitalida.
Dr. Erin TeWinkel is a naturopathic doctor specializing in mental wellness, hormonal health, and digestive health with teens and their families. At her clinic, the Integrative Health Institute, she helps teens build resiliency to own their health for the rest of their lives.
She believes in working with her patients to develop healthier mindsets and practices early in life rather than fixing problems in adults after the fact. She practices naturopathic medicine because she wants to change the story/narrative about how we view teens and support them through adolescence. Adolescence is a critical window of time where we have immense opportunity to affect teens' future positively.
