The month of December marks the start of the holiday season but also the start of exams for students. This is a highly stressful time and can lead to feelings of anxiety in many young people. The purpose of the Cam’s Kids Candy Cane Campaign is to not only spread some holiday cheer but to also help make students aware of the resources available to support them during times of high stress and anxiety. This is one of our top 3 national initiatives with teams all across Canada participating!
The idea of this initiative is for Ambassadors to go around campus and other popular public areas and hand out candy canes that will be accompanied by a tag containing information about Cam’s Kids as well as a useful tip on how to manage anxiety during the holiday/exam season.
This year, we're also launching a Virtual Holiday Cheer Campaign, where participants can share some holiday well-wishes online. Cards and kind words are sent anonymously, and by leaving your email you will also receive a holiday card! You can participate in the Virtual Holiday Cheer Campaign here.
The Cam’s Kids Candy Cane Campaign is a great way of spreading holiday cheer and bringing awareness to the Cams’ Kids Foundation, and our goal of “Supporting Young People Struggling with Anxiety!”
