At the end of January for Bell Let’s Talk Day, four determined people set out to raise funds for Cam’s Kids Foundation. Giota Curitti, teacher at Fallingbrook Middle School, accompanied by her two daughters Athena and Stefania, and Guidance Counsellor Darcy Windover, worked together to raise awareness for Cam’s Kids and collect donations.
“Our fundraising included Athena and Stefania setting up information booths giving away resources and chocolates, bake sales, basketball tournaments, Athena and Stefania joining us for a school-wide movie buyout with additional popcorn sales, and a Go Fund Me initiative spearheaded by Athena and Stefania”, says Giota, teacher at Fallingbrook Middle School. Darcy Windover added to the excitement of the fundraiser and generously donated the proceeds from his song “How to be Lonely”. The song delivered an important message about what it’s like to have anxiety and depression. Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTFssYW2Lwo
The grand total of the fundraiser was $3,275.00! Thank you so much to Giota for leading another successful fundraiser and to Darcy, Athena, and Stefania for contributing to the great success. We are so grateful for all of your support!
