Family Night at USS
On Thursday March 1st Family Night was held at Uxbridge Secondary School. The night included sessions from Covenant House (Cyber safety/trafficking), the Health Department (Mental Health & Resiliency) and Dangers/Signs of Drug Use.

On Thursday March 1st Family Night was held at Uxbridge Secondary School. The night included sessions from Covenant House (Cyber safety/trafficking), the Health Department (Mental Health & Resiliency) and Dangers/Signs of Drug Use.

Cam’s Kids was one of three information booths available for parents and students to ask questions and get tips & tools for those dealing with anxiety. USS Guidance and SLAM/Pals/Best Buddies also had info booths alongside Cam’s Kids available for people to learn more.

The nights itinerary included:

  • 6:30 – 6:55 pm – Welcome
    • Overview of the event
    • Introduction of speakers
      • Welcome will be held in the cafeteria; coffee and snacks will be available
  • 7:00 – 7:40 pm – Session #1
  • 7:45 – 8:30 pm – Session #2
    • Families will have the opportunity in the 2 sessions they attend.
      • Sessions will run in the library, and classrooms...exact locations to be determined
  • 8:35 – 8:55 pm – Closing & Reflection
    • Including mindfulness activity lead by USS Teacher
      • Held in the cafeteria
