Yoga is a place where you can be at peace with yourself. It is a chance to see yourself every single day as you are. With your pain, with your flaws, with your perceived mistakes.
And to accept yourself anyway.
And to love yourself anyway.
And to have this great sense of compassion for who you are right now.
I began teaching because I wanted people to experience what yoga has done for me.
Because the practice of mindful movement changed my life.
Because it lifted a weight off my shoulders that was greater than anything I had ever experienced before.
Just over a month after completing my yoga teacher training in BC the nerves and excitement of becoming a new instructor were starting to sink in as I searched for a safe and inviting way to begin my teaching journey.
3 years ago today I was given the opportunity to not only teach, but to support an foundation that sits so close to my heart.
To me, yoga for anxiety is something that is close to home. I’ve seen it help friends, family, students, strangers and undoubtably myself in more ways than one.
3 years ago today I taught my first ever yoga class to help fundraise and spread awareness for Cams Kids. Today, with the fullest heart, I am honoured to announce that SoulSpeak Yoga will be hosting a new community class in support of the Cam’s Kids Foundation. All of the proceeds will be donated to the cause, it is $5 cash, and the class will run every Sunday at 12pm, and begins this Sunday September 29th, 2019. Everyone and anyone is welcome.
I opened a yoga studio because yoga to me is self love in the fullest form – it is coming home to yourself over and over again no matter how many times you leave or forget who you are.
SoulSpeak Yoga has become a home to not only me, but so many others, and we will always welcome you with open arms.
If you are ever curious about starting yoga, or even just want someone to talk to, please never hesitate to reach out.
