Coldest Night of the Year 21' Goes Virtual
The Coldest Night of the Year walk is "a moment when tens of thousands of Canadians step outside the warmth and comfort of home and shine a light of welcome and inclusion". Cam's Kids was honoured to once again participate in this important event.

Cam's Kids Foundation has been apart of the Coldest Night of the Year walk for several years now. This event is put on by a fellow local charity in Uxbridge - North House - who "provides a spectrum of housing supports for those who are at risk or in crisis within the communities of North Durham".

The Coldest Night of the Year walk is "a moment when tens of thousands of Canadians step outside the warmth and comfort of home and shine a light of welcome and inclusion. Each step we take brings someone closer to safety, health and home, and together, we raise funds to continue our commitment and work that transforms peoples’ lives." This year's event took place on Saturday February 20th. Just like previous years, participants collected donations to fund critical services that serve and support vulnerable families and individuals in our community. However, unlike previous years, this years event went virtual, allowing participants from around Durham region to walk 2km or 5km on a route of their choosing.

Taking advantage of the virtual nature of the event, Cam's Kids invited ambassadors from all over to join this year's team. Together, they raised over $1,100!

Cam's Kids Ambassadors are already looking forward to next years event - and to walk side by side with fellow participants.
