Hey there! My name is Chantell and I’m local to the Uxbridge area. I am currently working for a raw vegan chocolate/superfood company called Giddy Yo. I recently became a Regenerative Detoxification Specialist and Iridologist. My goal is to help people regain their health through raw foods and herbal protocols. I have been a raw vegan for a year now and before that I was about 80-90% raw for 12 years.

I think it’s amazing that Cam’s Kids is challenging readers to consider more raw living foods into their diet. Some amazing herbs to support yourself through this challenge would be herbs that focus on your kidneys. Herbs such as:

A lot of health food stores will have herbal kidney formals in tincture or tea forms. The best way to start incorporating herbs into your life is through herbal teas, which you can buy at any health food store. They have teas for everything! Sleepy teas, morning teas, teas for anxiety, detox teas, laxative teas, skin teas, etc. Some of my favourites include:

  • Tulsi
  • Chamomille & lavender
  • Stinging nettle
  • Dandelion

I like to cover and steep my tea for 15 minutes before drinking to get maximal benefits.

You can also add herbs into your salad. Adding parsley, dill or basil will all make your salad pop with taste and nutrition. Dandelion leaves and flowers are also great additions!
