Cam's Kids is thrilled to announce their partnership with Canada’s only 24/7 national support service: Kids Help Phone!!

Now don’t let the name fool you - just like us, their service supports ALL young people; not just kids.

Their trained counsellors offer free, non-judgmental and totally private support. You can connect with them in many ways:

No matter what you would like to talk about, Kids Help Phone is ready to listen. You can reach a Kids Help Phone counsellor 24/7 at 1-800-668-6868

Not comfortable speaking to a counsellor over the phone? No problem. Support is now available at your fingertips through the Kids Help Phone Crisis Text Line.

Simply text the word “CAM” to 686868 (meaning enter 686868 in the “To” field, and CAM in the subject/text body) to connect with a trained Crisis Responder.

No data plan or Internet connection required. This means it is completely free to use – no charges or use of your data/text plan.

Reach out - no matter the issue.

Prefer to talk to someone from your desktop? Try out the Kids Help Phone Live Chat on their website!

After completing a short survey, you will be placed in a queue to speak to the next available counsellor.

Please be aware that sometimes the wait times can be longer than expected. If you would like to speak to someone right away, we encourage you to use their phone or text services.

*Important to note that the chat line opens from 7 PM to midnight.*

Unfortunately, Indigenous communities have faced numerous challenges and traumatic events throughout Canadian history, including colonization, abduction of women, and of course - Residential Schools; just to name a few. Even today, discrimination, racism and missing Indigenous women still exists.

The impact of these horrific events? Intergenerational trauma, mental health struggles, high rates of suicides and addictions, and more.

Honouring the importance of culture, and recognizing the impacts of these traumatic events, we have created a list of resources designed for and/or by Indigenous Canadians.
